A simple selfless thought goes a long way. ‘More Smiles’ is our vision and it could not be a success without you. For each smile we draw on their faces it tells it all and it’s worth a world. In what we do at AidToSchools, we always know what we are going to get at the end - it is a journey through million smiles.
Pattiwela Primary School is a rural village in the Matale District. The School provides education to around 250 children in the Galewela area. Most current Children come from very poor backgrounds. We found that some children have both their parents abroad, leaving the children in the care of relatives. Other parents work as laborers earning a meagre living, not sufficient to even feed the children.

Kadawathamaduwa Dharmapala Junior School is situated in Dimbulagala Divisional Secretariat division closer to Welikanda area in Polonnaruwa district. This area has been categorized as a very difficult area by the government due to many economical, geographical and social problems.Economy is based on agriculture and majority of the dwellers are farmers .

“Promoting the best habits of independent thought and learning in the pursuit of excellence; fostering self-confidence, enthusiasm, perseverance, tolerance and integrity”
Above are the two mission statements of two separate schools in the world; one situates thousands of miles apart from the other. Interestingly, one might find it hard to distinguish the difference between the two statement, because it means the same.
One of them is a world class secondary school, and you can consider yourself ‘special’ if you’d ever be privileged to step through the gates of this world-class educational institution; the best teachers in the world cultivating the wisdom in 1300 pupils from all over the world, with the help of state of the art facilities. A typical day of a student in this college starts with bit of sports activities, followed by putting on their school outfits after a hot shower, then uninterrupted studies which only gets interrupted by the college bell, evening drama or more sport practices and finally the modern boarding facilities to indulge the schoolchild after an eventful day before go to bed.
On a previous occasion we raised in excess of £2800 to help build a Hospital ward at the Karapitiya General Hospital in Galle, Sri Lanka..
